mixed microstructure of both Austenitic and Ferritic steels with 22% chromium
(also known as 22Cr Duplex) 3% molybdenum, 5 to 6% nickel alloyed stainless
steel also known as x2crnimon22–5–3, thus, Duplex 2205 Fittings offers
excellent resistant to corrosion and very high mechanical strength. 2205 Duplex
(22% chromium and 5% nickel) has double the strength compared to austenitic
stainless steels and high resistance to corrosion, particularly pitting,
crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.
